Our friends in the who work on the sea already know about our knowledge and experience in marine automation. Whether it is simply a question of reliable spare parts or a more integrated technical solution, we are strategically positioned to offer an unrivaled service. Though, rather than dwell in a lot of detail on all the parts and services we can offer you, I will give you a sneak preview of the possibilities.
Human Machine Interface Monitoring System
Known as HMIs to the more technical of us and touch screens to the others, these systems can monitor each and every reading a skipper or engineer might need. Our systems are extremely versatile, being able to automatically shut down in case of emergency and even send vital information via GSM.
Crimped Hydraulic Hoses
These are the veins which power your sea vessel. They come in an incredible range of types and sizes. We boast textile braided hoses which are designed for marine environments and unlike steel braided alternatives, our cannot rust. We also offer a crimping service on-site, making your life easier.
Pressure, Vacuum and Temperature Gauges
The range of gauges we offer is truly extensive. The options are never ending but no matter the size, medium or material, the quality is outstanding. The resolution of the gauges can me made-to-order and the attaching mechanism is also very adaptable. Whether you require glycerin filled stainless steel pressure gauges or a temperature gauge reading every 0.5 degrees celsius, we have it.
Process Valves
Once again, the options available are many. We have different valves for clean water, waste water, hydraulic fluid and air. The material can be either durable stainless steel or brass and port sizes ranging from 1/8" to well beyond 2". Just like in the human body, process valves control the flow in your yacht and you can always find the best quality available in stock.
To sum up, whatever your automation requirements, you can rest assured with FIN Solutions. Contact us now on (+356) 27 654 098 or send us an email sales@finmalta.eu.

The wonder of PTFE tubing
Versatility, durability and many other ...ility adjectives can be used to describe PTFE tubing.
Put simply, these are the strengths of PTFE tubing:
![]() |
| The tube between the pressure switch and the compressor needs to withstand a very high temperature |
- Has a working temperature of between -60°C to 260°C, meaning it can be used in ovens, freezers and anything in between.
- It is of a food grade standard, which means it can be used in food and beverage production safely. It also means that you could ingest a piece without worrying about poisoning, although we strongly recommend you stick to a Mediterranean diet.
- It can be connected using standard push fit fittings, which means you can connect it to many modern automation processes.
- Allows almost all kinds of mediums to flow through it. Whether it is air, water, steam, oil, paint and the list goes on.
- It does not dissipate electrostatic charges when conveying non conducting fluids, meaning no risk of sparks in highly flammable areas.
- Working pressures vary according to the temperature and size, but sizes up to 12mm outside diamater have a working pressure of 13BAR (and, worth mentioning, a minimum burst pressure of 39BAR).
PTFE tubing is our solution to challenging environments in automation. You can find it in stock today at our solution point in Paola. For more information contact us on 27654098 or message us on facebook.

Finally, a purpose built distribution system
Would you use a Fiat Uno to go off-roading? Or perhaps dry your hair with an iron? Hopefully not, and you are right to say so.
The distribution system uses a simple push-fit system followed by a simple spanner tightening. All the fittings and tubing are made of maintenance free anodized aluminium and the tube can be easily cut to size using a pipe cutter. The system includes all the necessary accessories, including distribution manifolds, elbows, tees and drain valves. We've thought of everything you might need.
FIN offers the system in two packages. One option is to have the parts delivered and then handle the easy installation yourself. The other is to have us carry out the installation, testing and commissioning ourselves. In each case we can come on-site and take all the necessary measurements for you.
Moving to air distribution systems, the story changes a little. A number of businesses choose to install water distribution systems and use them for compressed air instead. Those who do this do not realise the danger they are putting themselves, their team and their premises into. These water systems are only designed to handle up to 3 BAR, and they do this perfectly.
However, a normal compressor gives out around 10 BAR and this added pressure causes leaks and deformation of the water system tubing. There have also been incidents where a fitting burst out of place, causing severe pain to an employee and damaging an expensive car (the system was installed in a spray booth). I should add that such systems are illegal.
Don't worry, we've got the solution!
Our air distribution system is different as it has been designed to handle AIR. Rather than boring you with the technical information (which we would be more than glad to explain in person), I will focus on the main two benefits; a 10 year guarantee & insurance cover in case of any faults or damages.

Our line of distribution systems expand to other mediums, which have specifically built fittings and tubing for the particular medium. The other mediums are water, nitrogen, vacuum and oil.

See what others barely see
When it comes to the reliable detection of partially and highly transparent objects, sensors need to show what they are really capable of. Systems don't demonstrate their true performance until put to daily use. With our solutions, we can extend the cleaning cycles of sensors used in the detection of transparent media, e.g., from one week to up to a year. Our technical team is available to answer any of your questions and also visit your site and recommend improvements. Just call on (+356) 27 654 098.

Human-Machine Interface
HMI (Human Machine Interface) is a medium for information exchange and mutual communication between electro-mechanical systems and the user.
It allows the user to complete settings through touchable images or keys on the user-friendly window. This not only offers fast and convenient control of manufacturing automation, but also has replaced traditional controlling panels which need extensive wiring.
Delta DOP series Human Machine Interface provides various touch screens with multiple dimensions and colours and it also offers fast and convenient control functions for industrial automation machines. Moreover, programming the whole DOP series is done using the Delta Windows-based and user-friendly Screen Editor software. By using this free software, the user can quickly edit images and graphs and set suitable communication protocol through Macro command.
An HMI can be connected via a Programmable Logic Control, Variable Frequency Drive and on a network. Delta HMI’s are so versatile that they can be programmed to connect with other brands of PLC’s.
